A EDIT EDIT. For all my buds.gojo

The reference to the edit edit is so hurtful to posters on this forum who have family members born with edit. Could it be possible to refrain from the use of this term, please… there is no humor in it at all for several of us. I don’t think that this is a tall order.

Get a life, Chatty. I think it is “a tall order” when you want to restrict the speech of others because you and a few individuals find it “so hurtful”.I reckon you have lived your whole life being “hurt” because you are so sensitive to the crippled ones in your family. I, too, have crippled ones in my family…. but we have learned to live with it.We don’t avoid mentioning it, and we don’t avoid jokes about it. We live life as it is. We don’t avoid it.

Our moderator wants us to avoid hurting your feelings. Okay. I’ll abide by the moderator’s rules….. and try not to injure your sensitivity.

I hope you will publish a list of “hurtful references” so we can all avoid them in the future. Or not.

gojo

This is an outrageous post! not just for obvious comments to CK about “crippled ones” but the allegation that my decision was based on not hurting one posters feelings and making snide remarks about ityou get a 2 day time out while i discuss with staff if it should be a ban.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And, of course, he was eventually banned.  “Edit Edit” refers to his, and others’, “short bus” comments.

Nice to know that in his family they laugh at their “crippled ones” isn’t it?

CTV-RainYou reckon ctv is a wannabe for ctv-rain? My wife caught me peeking in at ctv and shuterdown in a hurry. Can’t go back, she said. Every other post about sex. But when she left for a few, I slithered back.Here’s what I observed:

Tiny Brain was asking for advice on how to play hide-and-go-seek with her sex-crazed husband.

Femiterrorist Crimegal told her just to lie with that 1,000-year-old “headache” chestnut.

If that doesn’t work, just explain to him, “Go F— yourself! I ain’t no sex machine.”

Ain’t figgered out yet how that ties in with the murder. Help, please.

Really, I can’t make this stuff up!

gojo

IMO marriage does not equal sex-on-demand. She can say she has a headache, she can say she’s not in the mood, or she can be honest and say “not at this time”.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought women had evolved past being sex-on-demand machines.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They have.
Now, if men would just evolve past requiring sex on demand, life would be a lot simpler for all of us.
“Why buy the pig just to get a little sausage?”
Of course you slithered back, you sneaky little slitherer, you!
It Happened!
Product Placement
August 13, 2007
Maybe the Coach company is paying Jason’s bills.  After all, he has been giving them quite a plug!
Gojo does his share of plugging, too.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I reckon several weeks ahead of time, Jason would start getting help for that Coach purse. He had to set it up just right so all their friends would know about it.He’d also have to make sure he could get the information document he needed to leave on the printer. A stroke of genius in this long-range planning!

Gojo Gets Cynical

August 13, 2007

I reckon ctv has had enough fun with the “cold call” nonsense. At least, I hope they were just having fun. I thought it was humorous. I hope nobody thought they were serious.Of course, when they joke about nonsense such as “5 maps,” they run the risk of newbies thinking they are serious. I thought it was humorous. I’m still chuckling. Those guys are good!

Okay…. for the newbies and other gullibles. Sometimes a salesman, such as Jason, will be in an area and “stop by” a future customer. He will try to “make contact” and arrange a future appointment.

He is not selling and not making a “cold call”. He’s also not searching for a biohazard drop!

You don’t believe me, Newbies? Try it yourself. Give the comedians a little tidbit and watch them chew on it.

You’ll think they are seriously discussing it and twisting it! Actually they’re just having fun with you and seeing how gullible you are.

Think I’m kidding? Use “Search” and check out Ring Swallowing, No Flowers, No Gravestone, No Visits, 5 Maps. Then explore on your own.

Really, Newbie, these ctv guys are good! Expect some good deep belly laughs.

Bloggin’ Gojo

August 12, 2007

Gojo wants to start his own blog.  He wants to name names.  Of course, he has to find some, first.  The person he wants to “out” as the author of this blog has nothing to do with it.

Ya got some sleuthing to do, Gojo!

Try and keep up.

What Did He Expect?

August 12, 2007

Posted by gojo: Now, when Jason and his family arrive in Raleigh, they go to Meredith’s house, because that is where Cassie is being kept.Two of Jason’s friends, both of whom have already been talked to by LE, immediately tell Jason that he needs a lawyer, and even tell him which lawyer to call. Evidently they had a bad experience with LE.

Jason goes into the house to be with Cassie. Immediately afterward a swarm of police cars swoop down on the driveway, bubblegum lights flashing, lighting up the neighborhood. Jason’s mother and other family members are in the process of taking their suitcases out of the car when a policeman orders them to stop.

“What do you think you’re doing?” This to a mother and grandmother.

“We’re going to a motel to spend the night. We need our suitcases.”

“You’re not going anywhere with those suitcases.”

“Well, can I get my blood pressure medicine and wallet out of the car?”“No, you can’t. We’re going to search everything in this car. You will eventually get it all back.”

And so forth. Believe me, it really did happen like this. Not only was Jason treated like a criminal from the very beginning, but the rest of his family were treated like conspirators! Eventually Mrs. Young was permitted to retrieve her medicine, but her pocketbook, money, I.D. were not returned until the next day. If I had been there (I got this second hand from someone who was there) I reckon I would have been arrested for assaulting a police officer for the way Mrs. Young was treated.

Now, Jason knows this is happening outside, but he stays in the house with Cassie and his friends. At this point, do you think you would have second or third thoughts about talking with any of the LE people?

When Jason does talk with his lawyer, he is told directly to say nothing to anyone (not even his family) about any aspect of this brutal murder.

So, what would you have done?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would have spoken with the police.  I would have said,
“I’ll tell you whatever you want to know.  How soon can you get my mother’s stuff back to her?  This is very hard on all of us, but she had blood pressure issues and this situation is exacerbating them.”
These people from the little mountain town must be truly crime-free (as Captain Joe has said), and incredibly naive because of that.  Obviously there is no murder in Brevard.  An occasional traffic ticket, a truant schoolboy caught at the fishing hole…Jason’s family were totally unprepared for police fresh from an big-city murder scene.
A proper attitude would have been to step up and say,
“Talk to me; get it over with so I can get with my daughter and help her get through this awful trauma.  Let me answer all your questions so that you can get on with finding the scum that has killed my wife and ruined my life.”
That’s what an innocent man does.
Life Insurance
August 12, 2007
Posted by gojo: Just one correction I’d like to make. The insurance policy has been in place for a year or so; don’t have the exact date, but maybe somebody can tell you, even though I think that information is supposed to be private.The other part of the correction is that Jason has the same amount of insurance as Michelle. I think LE “forgot” to mention this when they released the information to the media. Just My Opinion, but I think releasing only part of the information was a ploy by LE to put pressure on Jason. Hope this helps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That may technically constitute “part” of the information, but, in my opinion, it’s irrelevant.  All it proves is that Michelle has just as much to gain from killing Jason as he did from killing her.  As she obviously did not kill Jason, the information that there were mutual life insurance policies has nothing to do with the investigation.

Gojo and others who think that the life insurance is not a motive, because he has not yet attempted to claim it are up that Egyptian river without a paddle.

Exodus 20, King James Version

August 12, 2007

Exodus 20

 1And God spake all these words, saying,

 2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

 3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

 4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

 5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

 6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

 7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

 8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

 12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

 13Thou shalt not kill.

 14Thou shalt not commit adultery.

 15Thou shalt not steal.

 16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

 17Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

 18And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

 19And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

 20And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

 21And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

 22And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

 23Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

 24An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

 25And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

 26Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There’s the whole chapter.  Of course, we pick and choose which commandments we will obey.  Very few keep the sabbath holy any more.  Our society is not geared to it.  Not that we might not be better people if we did spend our Sundays in quiet contemplation, but it ain’t gonna happen, folks!
And the whole “graven image” thing…well, that went out the stained glass window a long time ago, didn’t it?
People much more knowledgeable than I have analyzed and over-analyzed these words over the many years since they were written, and many can make them fit with modern life, much as I, growing up, could find a way to make Creationism and Darwin work in my mind.
And, as for taking the Lord’s name in vain…Define vain.  While driving is not “in vain,” in my opinion.
Honoring one’s father and mother gets easier as they (and we) get older.  It sure is a toughie for teens, though!  Of course, some parents are not worthy of anyone’s honor, so what can one do?  Live short lives, I guess.
Here’s one that is not so tough:  don’t kill.  Hey–works for me.
Committing adultery–yeah, life is a lot easier when we can refrain from boinking people outside our vowed relationships.
Don’t steal.  Works for me.  I like being able to look at myself in a mirror and like what I see there.
False witness.  Does that translate, in the modern world, into libel and slander?  Whoopsie…remember–truth is the absolute defense!
And the last commandment is against coveting.  Personally, I’m not much of a coveter, being quite happy to cope with my own baggage without wanting to take on my neighbor’s as well.
But that’s just me.
