They tried to make me talk to LE
I said no, no, no.
Yes I been bad, but I wont be had
So you wont know, know, know.
I ain’t doing time
My mamma tells me I’ll be fine
And If they try to make me go downtown
I wont go, go, go.
I’d rather be out picking up some girls
Gotta satisfy my loins
And there’s nothing, nothing you can teach me
That I didn’t learn from Mr. Gojo-uns
Cuz mostly what I got from that man
Was how to spend time with a garbage can
They’re tryin’ to make me talk to LE
I said no, no, no
Yes I been bad, but I won’t be had
Nobody’s gonna know, know, know.
Mrs. Young was told the search warrants
served Thursday would be sealed. Don’t
know all that means, but I reckon it means
the media will not see them. Or….maybe
they won’t be sealed. If they are, I think
some public record will have to be filed
saying they are sealed.
Told by whom? A Judge’s order is required to seal warrants. They can usually be unsealed by the Judge, at the request of the LE or DA or whoever requested them to be sealed. And, yes, I believe a cover letter or something like it will be posted saying that sealed warrants have been returned. However, I repeat: they can be unsealed at any time.
So far as Mrs. Young is concerned, I reckon
she could publish the warrants in the N&O
if she wished. I don’t know that to be true.
But for the time being, she prefers to keep
quiet and see what the cops do.
I do not believe Pat has the right to publish the contents of a sealed warrant.
The NCWanted folks have a stringer who
posts on these boards. So any information
posted here would go to the media. We’re
still digesting the warrants and what they mean.
We sure don’t know yet how the media mavens
will interpret the warrants. Reckon we’ll have
to wait a while and see.
Please back up your allegation that the TV show has a stringer on the boards.
And just who is the “we” who is digesting the warrants? Do gojos eat paper? Like goats? This looks like a situation in which the media is not going to be of any assistance in telling you what to think. At least until the warrants are unsealed.
I’ll tell you what I told Mrs. Young.
I told her if I could I would post
the warrants here and let you guys
go at it. I believe we would get some
answers right away and more thoughtful
answers tomorrow. Whatever we got
would come from knowledgeable folks
Damn straight!
As you know, the cops must justify why
they are asking for a warrant. That means
they must tell why they think Jason is guilty
of something and why they will find evidence.
No, I did not enjoy reading that. I realize they
must be creative sometimes in order to
convince a judge to issue the warrant. But
some of this stuff baffled me. Wish I could
get board advice on some of it. I will,
eventually.
What do you mean by ”creative.” Are you saying that the police exaggerated something in order to get the warrants? I think that’s wishful thinking, Gojo. If anything, I expect the police to give just as much information to the judge as is necessary. No creativity. Just the facts.
Yes, the cops did take some stuff. And yes, Jason
still will not be grilled
…but I bet he was chilled in aspic.
You remember how many many moons ago
we speculated on the grand jury? This latest
activity by the cops might mean the DA has told
them to nail down all the details they can before
he goes to the grand jury. That’s just speculation based on nothing but speculation.
But wouldn’t surprise me. I don’t know enough
about grand juries and DA’s to make an educated
guess, even. Just wild speculation. You can tell
me in a couple of weeks how stupid I am.
Just on general principles, you’re stupid to place your faith in the murderous mooch you helped to raise.
Spring, it is stressful. Certainly.
Still, I am proud of the way the
Youngs have reacted.Grace under pressure. Grace and dignity.
Tell us the story of the Youngs’ “grace and dignity.” We are waiting with bated breath.
The only spin that bothers me, Agatha, is
the spin the cops put on things. I believe
once Jason is able to talk he can/will explain
many of the things the cops think are
suspicious. That’s just my guess, however,
since I don’t know what Jason can tell them.
Nope, RPD. She was told the warrants would
be sealed. Maybe they will be. Or maybe the
cops will just sit on them.
Cops do not “sit” on warrants. Warrants have to be returned within a reasonable amount of time, whether they were served or not. I have to wonder how an educated man such as yourself can be so ignorant of your local laws.
Jason is “able” to talk at any time. He has not been stricken mute by the Hand of God, has he? Cat got his tongue, maybe? You act like he is yanking at a padlocked mouth, straining to say the words we all want to hear…
I don’t know when Jason and his lawyer
will decide is the time to talk. I reckon
Jason relies on someone who has had
experience in this stuff.
He might as well. No point in relying on morals or ethics or his conscience–he has none of that.

I hear we had a Raleigh visitor in Brevard
yesterday. Nope, not the cops. Just one
of our avid posters. Don’t mind, really.
==Kingcole
Gee. Last I heard, it is still a (sort of) free country. Anybody is allowed to go anywhere (except Roswell). Good of you not to mind, though. Your library is very interesting.
Not impressed by the state cop who
was in Brevard and seems to be in
charge of the investigation. His
arrogance probably works for him when
he’s dealing with criminals.
==Kingcole
So are you and Jason the only people in Brevard who are allowed such arrogance? Lead investigators have presence and command. You have a computer and some fishing gear. Get over it.
Sheriff Mahoney and family are buds, Wyn.
Don’t think he would avoid me.
==Kingcole You may find yourself avoiding him.
I only heard a rumor about a possible Raleigh
visitor in Brevard. Didn’t see anybody
myself. Ignore it. Not important.
Backtracking again, Gojo?
Well, Debums, you are neither family nor
confidant of the Fishers….. are you?
Fishing again?
How do you suggest we deal with a rumor?
Maybe we all should just ignore it until
someone authenticates it.
==Kingcole
Then maybe you should not bring it up.
If Cassie were my daughter, I would be
paranoid about her safety. I would not
allow contact outside the immediate family
and friends. I would not allow the exchange
of gifts and thank you notes and such until
the killers are caught or until possible suspects
are cleared. If people think this is
cruel, I would think of the safety and
well-being of my daughter.
What would you do?
==Kingcole
If she were my daughter, I’d be paranoid about her safety, too, but her grandmother would not be the focus of my fear. What if Jason escapes judgement for his crime? What if nobody is ever arrested? Will Cassidy be denied a normal life forever? Let the kid have her mother’s family, for heaven’s sake! The thought that Linda might harm her is ridiculous. Jason is afraid of what Cassidy will tell her grandmother about the night Michelle died. Period.
Sorry I couldn’t answer all of your question.
The first I heard of the gift return was on
another board posted by someone who
claims to be from Sayville and claims to know
something about the Fishers’ mail. Doesn’t
seem to pertain to identifying a killer so just
another harmless rumor, I reckon.
It is not harmless. Keeping Cassidy from her mother’s relatives is very harmful to Cassidy, to Linda and Meredith, and, ultimately, to Jason himself. Karma, you know.
Oh…and when have you ever answered any direct questions?
I may have used the wrong adjective, Debums.
He took things from Mrs. Young’s house he had
no authority to take. He seemed to think he
could take whatever interested him, whether
detailed on the search warrant or not.
Sorry I can’t go into detail, but that’s what happened.
==Kingcole
Sorry, John. You are misled, mistaken or lying (again). Cops don’t remove things they have no authority to take.
I tried to convince Surfside he was at
neither house during the search. She
doesn’t believe me because she thinks
the sheriff said he was. Even when I
kindly asked her to reread what the
sheriff said, she still called me a liar.
Glad I don’t have to live with these
young whippersnappers today.
Gee, John, you are always harping on media reports. It was reported in the media, with links placed on the message board from which this post of yours originated, that Jason was at one of the houses that was searched. Your self-serving lies make me sick.
Since the sheriff did not say where
Jason was, I reckon I shouldn’t say
either. I admit I don’t like all these
secrets being kept from the public,
but what do I know? Maybe there is
a good reason for it.
==Kingcole
Again, with the lies. You want it all to go away, unreported, undocumented, unmourned.
Yes, I did learn new stuff. I can
understand why the warrants should
be sealed.
==Kingcole
Do tell.
I haven’t criticized the SBI agent for not
doing his job. I haven’t even indicated he
didn’t do his job. My OPINION is he went beyond
his job by taking things he was not entitled to take
Wrong!
Actually, reading that probable cause
information was rather….uplifting, or
exhilirating or some other vocabulary
word. I remember thinking that if this
is the best they have, then they must be
looking elsewhere and only making sure
Jason is cleared.
Here’s what you said earlier about the warrants:
“As you know, the cops must justify why
they are asking for a warrant. That means
they must tell why they think Jason is guilty
of something and why they will find evidence. “
Really, even I could explain some of the
information the cops have. I don’t know
what Jason would say about it, but it
doesn’t bother me.
==Kingcole
Spin, Spin, Spin…fairly obvious that you’re starting to get dizzy.
I’m curious about something, though, that
you guys might have some ideas about.
Why would the cops want to search Jason’s
Explorer….. again? What would they be
looking for? They had it impounded for months.
Jason hasn’t owned it for months. Yet they
come search it and trash it. Anybody got an
idea?
==Kingcole
Did they remove anything from it? I’m sure the “idea” is in the warrant.
